Dr. John Fraone

Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Fraone is a pediatric dentist and has been treating children, adolescents and patients with special needs for over 25 years. He received his dental degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and post graduate training in pediatric dentistry and Master of Science at the Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is currently pursuing a Master in Public Health at The University of Massachusetts. His research has included studies on pediatric oral sedation and oral trauma.
He is currently interested in healthcare delivery to the underserved and the medical approach to the treatment of dental decay. He is the past president of the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and has served on the executive board for many years. Dr. Fraone maintains privileges at Franciscan Hospital for Children, where he treats patients requiring general anesthesia. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is often involved in creating podcasts and online content about pediatric dentistry and he enjoys the occasional guest lecture at local educational meetings.
He is married to his college sweetheart Jennifer and has two children, Joe and Julia. In his free time he enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, paddling and fly fishing.
